The Home Development Contract

Once you have been through the planning stage of your home development, and we have reached the point where the plans have been approved by the Estate Design Review Committee (DRC), Stedone Homes puts together a comprehensive, all inclusive Home Development Contract.

The Development Contract consists of the following:
  • The Home Development Contract, this is the overarching document that spells out the Stedone Homes Terms and Conditions as well your payment terms.
  • The JBCC minor works agreement which is a document put together by the Joint Building Contracts Committee, often used in the home building industry. It effectively spells out the building contractors duties and responsibilities.
  • A Stedone Homes Development Cost Schedule, which details all the costs involved in the Home Development and is essentially a formalisation of the initial DCE that you would have approved in previous meetings.
  • A detailed finishes schedule gives a visual breakdown of the finishes to be used on the home as stipulated by the architect and our interior design team.
  • Other supporting documents such as home plans and estate/plot layouts.
  • In "Complete Home" cases, a land sale contract would also be included in the Home Development Contract set.
